The war with Iran is coming...

TS is going to hit the fan very soon. So its seems that that in New Mexico a new bomb has been tested. Its name is Big Blu aka the mother of all bombs. My guess is that their going to use it against Iran in the very near future.

Now I wonder where do they want to attack next.
I think they'll attack their own citizens after they attack Iran or perhaps before and blame it on Iran as a means to attack them.

Only time can tell, but maybe we can change time before it happens, so remember kids:

Only YOU can prevent the next world war....

That's a bit paranoid and unfounded. I think only a complete idiot would start yet another war with our military streched so thin. Bush is a complete idiot, but I think we both know that he doesn't run the show. This isn't V for Vendetta...Some very very smart people are running the show of his presidency. I do think that he is smart enough to stay out of another unpopular war. Listen, unlike anywhere else in the world we do have a voice here. At times, I know it's hard to hear and it SEEMS like they are trying to stiffle us, but we haven't hit 1984. Only the truely paranoid will twist the facts to make it seem so. I think that if you can take a step back, take a nod from Ayn Rand and look at everything objectively then you can form a better opinion. The only 'facts' we have are other people's biased opinions and half truths. Remember North Korea? That turned out ok. Just because there's tension doesn't mean war is emminent. Remember the Cold War? For 20 years everyone was banging the war drums. Tensions were extremely high. Sanctions, military build ups, plans for war that never happened. Iraq was something that leverage was needed for, and Bush happened to find that in 9/11. Maybe he knew it was gonna happen, maybe he didn't. I think that the war mongers know how big of a mistake Iran would be. Our already overstreched military would have a very difficult time and no other countries would follow us in. There's a point where even the most evil of men are so wrong that even they can't move forward. See, these evil men KNOW that if we get into war with Iran then we would have to deal with Russia. They don't want that. They know if that happens...bye bye America. Remember, despite their wicked ways, they do love America. Without it they have no power.

True, true and again true. The thing though that makes me think this way is the "fact" that several of the bush cronies are actually asking that we attack should the sanctions not work. I see what your saying and I agree I should have done a bit more research on the topic, but here's my logic: since the current admin. feels that the Iranian army is a "terrorist" group and that they are supplying insurgents they will begin to target Iran as a means of stopping the influx of insurgents within Iraq. This will further increase tensions within the US and Iran until it slowly reaches a breaking point. Then much like you said we will, at best, enter a second cold war or , at worst, an actual war. This is just my reasoning and although to you it may seem greatly flawed I don't mind hearing your criticisms of it.

The reason that the admin thinks that the Iranian army is a terrorist group is because of their support of their allies. The same way we would help Canada if they got attacked (I know...who would want to attack Canada). It's funny, I truely believe that in Iraq, we're the terrorists. And we are, it's irrefutable. The admin calls them terrorists and all they are doing is defending their homeland. If the tables were turned, and we had an occupying force in America, we would also call them terrorists. Fact is, any nation that opposes American will will be automatically branded a terrorist. They use the term because it is something that everyone in this country identifies with. Before 9/11 'terrorist' was almost a foreign word. Like someone speaking latin to a group of Kansas farmers. No one understood. Even after the first WTC attack and Oklahoma City bombing...it still seemed like the nation hadn't understood. Now, after these events that have changed the course of our great nation forever, it seems as though we are TOO apathetic to even the mention of that dirty word. The T word. The admin can use it for whatever purpose they deem and they know that it will resonate so well with the public. Now, Iran helping insurgents. I believe that we will be out of Iraq before the Iran/insurgent thing hits the tipping point. There will always be tension...as there is with every nation that doesn't bend to our will...but I think that we, the thinking, have as much responsibility to not beat the war drums as those in power. Even more so. They aren't America, we are. I think a lot of these so called 'thinking' people want the war so they can turn around and say I told you so. That's fucking sick. That kind of self-edification and ego pandering makes me want to punch babies ;-( I don't trust anyone. I don't trust their opinions or their news. I'm only 25 but I'm already the most cynical person I've ever met. Oh well...C'est la vie

Excellent points! And trust me on this, we need more cynics in the world, where I live they (civilians) all eat up what the media feeds them and your right it does cause you to want to hurt things. And this is coming from someone in ROTC. War drums shouldn't be beaten so soon, and yet they are. Your completely right and yet their is something that troubles me. How can most people who oppose the war not do anything about it? Why don't we ALL try to stop the ENTIRE admin. from working the way they do? No need to answer these questions, just had to let them out.
Thank you Matthew for your excellent logic and reasoning, we need more people like you in the world.
